Selene (“Selene,” “we,” “our,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

• Account details (email address, password hash, display name);
• Billing information (collected and stored by Stripe; Selene sees only non-sensitive metadata such as the last four digits of your card and its expiration);
• Optional profile data (time zone, state of residence, preferred sportsbooks, bet size preferences);
• Support requests, survey responses, and other correspondence.

Information collected automatically

• Usage logs (pages visited, features used, actions taken, timestamps);
• Device and browser information (IP address, user agent, operating system);
• Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 5.

Information from third parties

• Sportsbook odds and market data. No personal information is transmitted to the books on your behalf.
• Authentication tokens if you sign in through a third-party identity provider.

2. How We Use Information

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
• Process subscription payments and prevent fraud or abuse;
• Authenticate your account and secure it against unauthorized access;
• Send transactional emails (billing, service notices, security alerts, responses to support requests);
• Send product updates, newsletters, and marketing where permitted — you can unsubscribe at any time;
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service;
• Conduct analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns and guide product decisions.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers (sub-processors)

We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Service. Each is contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us:

• Stripe — payment processing and fraud detection;
• Supabase — database hosting, authentication, object storage;
• Vercel — application hosting and edge delivery;
• Transactional email provider (for billing and security emails);
• Product analytics provider (aggregated usage reporting).

Legal and safety

We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order; to enforce our Terms of Service; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Selene, our users, or the public.

Business transfers

If Selene is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all of its assets, user information may transfer to the acquiring entity. We will notify affected users via email or in-Service notice.

4. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• Delete your account and associated data, subject to legal retention obligations;
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time;
• Restrict or object to certain processing activities;
• Port your data to another service in a structured, machine-readable format;
• Not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.

California residents: you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

EEA, UK, and Swiss residents: you have rights under the GDPR, including those listed above. Our lawful basis for processing is typically contract performance (to provide the Service to you), legitimate interest (for security, fraud prevention, and analytics), or consent (for marketing).

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Essential operation (session management, authentication, security);
• Preferences (remembering your settings between visits);
• Analytics (understanding aggregate usage; wherever possible, we aggregate or pseudonymize the data).

You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using parts of the Service. We do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals at this time.

6. Data Retention

We retain information:

• As long as your account remains active;
• As needed to provide the Service you've requested;
• As required by law (for example, payment records for tax and accounting obligations);
• As needed to resolve disputes or enforce our Terms.

When you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 90 days, except information we are required to retain or information retained in aggregated, non-identifying form.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls, and routine security review. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we may have information from a minor, contact privacy@seleneodds.com.

9. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to that transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to your account address or via in-Service notice at least 30 days before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
